Client Need: Real-Time Emergency and Intelligence Call Management

In high-stakes environments where emergency response and real-time situational awareness are critical, managing 911 service calls, intelligence reports, and resource coordination can become chaotic without a centralized, visualized platform. Public safety agencies and event management units required a solution that would provide live visibility, geospatial awareness, and efficient resource tracking during emergencies or large-scale public events.

VIVA’s Solution: Event Intelligence Tracking System

VIVA’s engineering team responded to this need by designing and developing the Event Intelligence Tracking System (EITS). This web-based application serves as a centralized platform for managing and monitoring 911 service calls, intelligence calls, emergency resources, and public safety assets in real time.

The system displays live operational data on an interactive Google Map interface and allows users to define and manage event-specific landmarks. EITS enables law enforcement, emergency responders, and event planners to gain real-time visibility, make quicker decisions, and respond proactively during critical incidents.

Problems Solved by EITS

1. Lack of Centralized Tracking for Emergency and Intelligence Calls

  • Problem: Emergency teams had to rely on disparate systems for managing different types of calls and intelligence updates.
  • Solution: EITS consolidates all service calls and intelligence reports into a unified dashboard with real-time updates.

2. No Visual Mapping of Resources and Emergency Locations

  • Problem: Field personnel lacked a visual interface to locate first aid stations, points of distribution (PODs), or active incidents.
  • Solution: VIVA integrated Google Maps into the application to allow dynamic mapping of all emergency landmarks and real-time data layers.

3. Inability to Customize Map Views for Event-Specific Needs

  • Problem: Agencies could not customize operational views for specific types of events or missions.
  • Solution: The system allows users to define landmarks and toggle the visibility of different data layers, making it adaptable for any event scenario.
