Summary

This position is responsible for the administrative and physical activities related to receiving, storing, handling and shipping of materials and finished goods.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
(List of primary responsibilities of this role that account for 5% or more of the work. Incumbent may perform other duties as assigned.) This section contains a list of five to eight primary responsibilities of this role that account for 5% or more of the work. The incumbent will perform other duties assigned.
• Ensure that all material requests are pick, pull and transfer in a timely manner to meet production schedule

• Perform direct materials receipts in system to meet production schedules.

• Perform cycle counts and maintain accurate inventory records

• Ensure that all materials are shipped in a timely manner and in accordance with regulatory requirements

• May participate in continuous improvement initiatives and 6S

• Ensure that all incoming raw materials, WIP and indirect materials are offload from truck in accordance to the SOP

• Replenish all packaging material kanbans and/or safety stock levels.

• Ensure materials are putaway in the appropriate location designated and the warehouse is kept clean and organize.

• May performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Good working knowledge of Windows based applications
• Good PC Proficient (ie. Microsoft office, Excel, Words, Power Point, etc)
• Solid communication skills – both written and verbal
• Work effectively in a team environment
• Specific certifications and/or licenses preferred in forklift and other material handling equipment

• Must be able to read and follow detailed written instructions

• Must be able to record data and maintain accurate documentation

• General knowledge of applicable quality and regulatory standards and regulations is preferred

• General knowledge in Lean and other continuous improvements is preferred

Requires strong interpersonal and organization skills. Proficient in warehouse management systems and pc environments. Must be able to lift 10-50 lbs. Must be able to operate forklift and other material handling equipment. Must be able to work overtime as required. Must be able to work independently without direct supervision.

Education and/or Experience Include the education and experience that is necessary to perform the job satisfactorily.
High school diploma or equivalent required, AA preferred.
3-5 years of warehouse and/or technical office experience.
Must be forklift certified.
