VIVA's team has developed several web applications using Microsoft Technologies like SharePoint, Microsoft .Net, and SQL Server 2005. VIVA's team was involved in SharePoint 2007 installation and configuration. VIA was also responsible for SharePoint Administration Support Services — portal maintenance, backup/restore services, performance tuning, site maintenance, SharePoint web application development, and many other services. The State Agency is required to collect and store the payroll reports of grantees as part of the ARRA fund allocation. The SharePoint Site for the Agency has been designed to collect and store the payroll reports for each grantee under their document library. The collected payroll details are validated for the minimum wages, and approval of the form is based on all those validations having been met. The SharePoint website was developed using MOSS 2007, and by using the tools like SharePoint Designer 2007. The SharePoint site has been integrated with Active Directory. The users are being created using Active Directory and added into the SharePoint Site. A custom view page was designed for each grantee to track their payroll details and approval status. For each grantee, a separate security group was created, and permissions are controlled based on the group. The minimum wage details for each work classification are being maintained using SharePoint list. Also, a separate list was created for each grantee to maintain their employee list. The grantee can view and modify their payroll form until it is approved by the State Agency. A workflow feature within the SharePoint website allows the State Agency managers to approve the payroll changes.
